By now, all the Airheads should have received this announcement officially letting them know about Graham's show - a special show he will be performing at Robert Redford's restaurant, Zoom in Park City, Utah on the 29th of July at 8pm. He will be performing the show solo and it will be a two hour performance in the gardens where they hold the Bluebird series of shows during the summer. He will be playing a wide variety of my songs from the last 35yrs, with stories behind many of the songs that you all know and love. Also, he will be playing several from the new Air Supply CD - Mumbo Jumbo.

It is a very intimate setting (the venue only holds 100 people) and will be a unique evening that may not happen again! All proceeds will go to the Sundance Nature Preserve.

The ticket price is $90.00 which includes a three-course dinner and as you may not know, the food at Zoom is excellent! Reservations for dinner are between 5:30 and 6:30 pm with the show to follow at 8 pm. The number to call is 435-649-9108 to reserve your seats as they will be gone as soon as the show is announced to the public starting July 15th. Park City is 25 minutes from SLC airport.

There may be one or two special guests for the show, but nothing official at the moment. It will be a beautiful balmy summer evening in the stunning Utah mountains, so please don't miss it if you are able to come, it will be great to see you there!

Hi Everyone,

Russell and I would like to make an official announcement concerning our dear friend and colleague, Jed Moss. It is true that Jed has left the band to pursue his lifetime love of classical music. Jed has taken several sabbaticals from the band in order to follow his dream and now it’s with both sadness and joy that we part our ways. The sadness is that we will miss Jed and his phenomenal talents and his undying friendship and love, but it is with joy that he will be pursuing his destiny. Our friendship will of course be strong as it ever was and we have no doubt that we will work together in the future. We hope that all the fans will embrace this news as we have in wishing Jed every success.
Love,

Graham

Hi Everyone

After returning from Japan, we played Lincoln City this past weekend. It is a beautiful spot on the coast of Oregon about two hours drive from Portland. The weather was not the best unfortunately, grey skies, rain and high winds marked our stay but being around the fire pit in the restaurant and watching the waves crash on the beach was really fab! Our shows at the Chinook Winds were a blast again, the room is very intimate and the crowds were as good as ever!

A few days before leaving for Oregon, I flew to Utah to continue working on our new CD, "Mumbo Jumbo" at Graham's studio, we have only a couple of things to do now before it's completed and I can't tell you how excited we are about this project !! Very different for us, but maintaining the essence of Air Supply, Graham's wonderful songwriting abilities and our still distinctive vocal arrangements. I'm sure you will all love it!

In conjunction with the new CD "Mumbo Jumbo", we are revamping our website and it should offer a whole new look for us and a more enjoyable experience, so stay tuned :)

After playing Las Vegas next week, we begin our further world travels heading off to Brazil for concerts there before coming home again on the 24th for shows in Wheeling,West Virginia and Youngstown, Ohio on the 25th. Australia follows and is especially exciting for me as it is my home AND we haven't performed there in nine years!! Another busy year in more ways than one with lots of exciting things happening!

We are all looking forward to seeing you soon.

As Always,

Lots of Love

Russell

MARCH 12, 2009

Hello,

I am writing to you from Tokyo here in Japan. We arrived yesterday after a 12 hour flight from Los Angeles and a 2 hour ride form the airport, needless to say we were all quite weary. I decided to stay in and have an early dinner in my room. It's great to be back here in Japan as we've been coming here for so many years and have lots of fans here. We play here for a couple of nights before traveling to Fukuoka and Osaka. We will be back in the U.S. on the 17th and we'll see you again in concert on the 27th in Oregon.

I will be working on our new CD with Graham when we get back from this trip. We are VERY excited about it and all the new material Graham has composed for you.

We had great shows again last month in New York City at the Nokia Theatre and the Hilton in Atlantic City and also the opportunity to record "Artist Confidential with Air Supply" at the Sirius Studios in New York. It is an interview program interspersed with acoustic performances by Graham and I, before an invited Air Supply audience, some of whom had the chance to ask us some interesting questions. I thought it went very well and even got to hear a couple of stories from Graham that even I was unaware of. For those of you who subscribe to Sirius, I think you will find it truly interesting.

Between working on the CD and another busy touring schedule this year, it looks like being another very exciting one for us and we're glad that you'll be back with us again. Talk to you again soon!

Lots of Love,

Russell

Hello everyone, welcome to 2009. Who knows what is going to happen this year, we can only guess, but as for Air supply goes here are a few things that are on the horizon.

As you know Janet Robin was playing lead guitar with us on several shows in 08. Janet has now left the band to record her own CD and tour Europe again. For those of you that saw a show with Janet on board you will know what a great and unique energy she brought. We will all miss her and wish her every success!

Coming on board on Jan. 24th is another lead guitar player and another Russell. He is Russell Letizia from Las Vegas and at the moment plays with Mike, and Frankie Marino, when Mike is not on the road. I did go down to see him recently at the Golden Nugget and he is certainly a world class player and we are all looking forward to what he will bring to the band. Many of the new tracks are guitar driven and need a dedicated guitarist for the parts. It will also allow me to do other things on stage.

Speaking of other players, Jed will be out for all of February as he is touring and playing with several orchestras during this time. Stepping in for Jed will be Frankie Marino who is also another brilliant pianist, singer and composer. Jed will return on march 1st.

I do enjoy playing with different musicians whenever possible, its always a learning curve and a different perspective. Of course it is great to have Mike back full time, he is the perfect drummer for A.S!

We just performed at the ARF fund-raiser for homeless animals in Walnut Creek CA. At the request of Tony La Russa, several celebs performed including Tony Orlando and Billy Bob Thornton. It was truly a fantastic evening and we made many new friends. It's nice to see and meet other people who are passionate about animals.

We have resumed work on the new album and it is still on schedule for a spring release. At the moment we are paring down the tracks from 25 to around 12 or 14 for the CD. Its not an easy task!

For those fans that came to see Petalbump, I cannot thank you enough. Many of you came thousands of miles to support us and it did not go unnoticed. For more on Petalbump go to my page, as things are happening!

Last month we had a terrific show in Miami with John Waite. I have always been a fan of John and this is our second show with him and I hope we do many more together. It is possible that we will do a duet with John on our new record, we are trying to make all the logistics work as we speak.

Actually we could have as many as 3 duets with different singers on the new cd, when they are confirmed we you will be the first to know!

Several overseas tours are now confirmed for us this year. We return to Japan in March and will play Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. I will have to brush up on my Japanese again!! I believe also that before Japan we will be in Vietnam again after about 10 years. I remember the first time we were their it was just an amazing journey! In May we will be in Australia, playing several cities, that will be exciting too as we don't get down under very often it seems. It will be the first time seeing the latest addition to my family, 6 months old Rebecca.

We will be playing New York City on the 20th of February at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square. That will be a great show! We also have dates coming up in Antigua, Costa Rica, and of course all across the U.S. As you know it is customary for us to have a new show for you at the beginning of the year. The new show is underway but may be delayed by a few weeks as we have new players coming in! The new show though will feature several new songs from the forthcoming zed CD. Songs like "Alternate ending", "Everything changes", and "You don't know what it means'".

A lot is happening at the moment! We wish you all a very prosperous year, and of course look forward to seeing you at the shows!
Love from G and R

JANUARY 9, 2009

Hi everyone, I hope everyone had a good vacation throughout the end of the year. Now its back to work to prepare for 2009. I always look at this time of the year as a gathering time, all the work we put in now will be rewarded throughout the whole year. 09 is such an important year for the whole world.

A new president in the U.S. and a new perception of the world - let's hope it's a time when people everywhere will start to earnestly think of the human race as one people, and help each other and share our resources and our knowledge with one other. As we all know, at our shows the audience are so engaged with what they see and hear from the stage, but really it's you the people that make that feeling of love felt throughout the venue. It would be nice to keep that feeling during every moment and not just at shows, wouldn't that be great?

I do want to thank everyone for joining us live in 08. Every moment we are able to bring our music to you is a moment that we cherish. If it was to all end tomorrow I would be thankful for such a beautiful opportunity that you have given us. Of course it will not end tomorrow, as Winston Churchill said we have not even begun! This time of year is so reflective, especially when the snow is falling outside and I have a blazing log fire to keep me warm and to stare into for inspiration.

Also I am deciding on the tracks for the new album which is not far away. Which tracks should be on the album and which ones will fall away this time - it's always a surprise! So often in the studio a track stands out only to get lost in translation along the way. I am prepared always for that. The Universe usually decides, not me or Russell. From 25 songs the album will be chosen. All are recorded except the ones I will write next week!! We recorded in Vancouver last week, I sang the final on Me and the River ,and Russell sang the finals on Alternate Ending, and Waiting. It's an exciting time, especially when we are coming out with a 'concept album', don't worry, it wont be super deep unless you want to go there, it will all depend on you!! I am going to post the Zed story before the CD comes out, so keep watching. It's not that long, but I hope will make us all think about who and where we are on this tiny planet of ours.

A great and happy new year to you all wherever you may live.

See you at the shows, Love G and R
